Sophie Fenton, Flowers exhibition.

Repton School, Gallery No1, Sophie Fenton, Flowers exhibition. An exhibition held at the place I work as an art technician, My first semesters work in the third year of my textile degree, as well as what I had produced in the final semester of my degree so far. The exhibition was very informal, but from a designing point of view it was great to see my previous work against my new work and how much it had developed and evolved as a body of work.

New painted grounds...........

From flowers to print, the stages to take......

Having chosen to use two specific flowers, the Hellebore and Snakes Head Fritillary. I chose these flowers because the patterns on the petals related to my background images and they would work perfectly to enhance the background in to the foregrounds. The images show the steps I have taken to capture the image through drawing and painting and by scanning them in to my computer to produce screens, or add to already designed digital backgrounds. I also used them to create disperse prints to heat press on to my designs. It was all thought through and planned to work with the desired affect I was looking to create.
